Happy Mother's Day

A Mother's Love

*Note from Jemilia*

This was originally posted on Mother’s Day, however

it felt rushed and incomplete, so after tons of necessary revisions - I'm content with the outcome!

I hope you enjoy the post just as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Every year as Mother’s Day approaches, many find themselves joyful and ready to celebrate their Mother’s, while others struggle with the pain of no longer having their Mother’s with them. Although there are reasons to celebrate today, it can be a painful trigger. Instead of celebrating on Mother’s Day, many are left grieving and jaded, and let's not forget about the Mother’s without their children *talk about the wrong order of life*. Mother’s Day without a mom or your children bring up so many emotions that I myself cannot understand.

I’m deeply sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you. Your mother may not be here physically, but you’re still a child. Your children may not be here physically, but you’re still a mother.

*If they are still alive and it was a disagreement that drove a wedge between the relationship, reach out and try to make amends*

Life is short and remember that nothing can separate you.

Not space, time nor death.

“A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity. It dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.”

- Agatha Christie

Motherhood is a fulltime, often thankless job. I say this, not from experience but observation. I believe that appreciation for any parent should be shown every day of the year, however I love that we have a whole day dedicated to our Superwomen, a day to show them extra appreciation…

A day to give our MOMS the love and tribute they deserve.

A mother’s love is unique, powerful, endless, effortless, irreplaceable and often taken for granted. It's amazingly easy for us to lose sight of how important a mother’s job is and how much they've sacrificed to give us the best lives possible. It may not have been the perfect life but, with what they had, they provided

.

To the world you may just be a mother, but to your children you're their world. You were the first place they called home, their first love, their first friend and their first foe. Although we don't express our gratitude as often as we should, your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. Happy Mother’s Day to all you beautiful, strong, devoted women who serve, sacrifice and love unconditionally.

And to my mother, Samantha

Thank-You! I know raising Hannah and I came with many struggles and sacrifices. As we got older, you shared stories with us and I know there were days when you felt like you were alone, like your back was against the wall, and you felt like you were ready to fold: but I thank-you for not giving up, for bending but never breaking, for giving and showing us everlasting love, for teaching us strength, and teaching us the importance of sisterhood.

I thank-you for being the glue that kept this trio together.

Happy Mother's Day to you, Badass!
